Author and Hamline University faculty member Phyllis Root will describe how she creates award-winning children's books that feature unique natural landscapes and the plants and animals that inhabit them.
Plant a Pocket Prairie ireceived the 2015 John Burroughs Riverby Award given for outstanding nature books for young readers.
